The Weeknd Makes His Debut

This might be the 500th article about The Weeknd's debut, but remember, we've been in his camp since day one. 'House of Balloons' was actually our first post! Thinking back to last night, the crowd was amazing, it sort of brought the show along, Abel was clearly nervous.

The Crowd was Simply Electric.

It did not seem to deter the crowd though, the emotions that ran through the people in that room were powerful, at times Tesfaye just looked simply overwhelmed. He would actually step back and survey the crowd, but his songs continued as the audience filled in the blanks. More than anything, The Weeknd had finally arrived. He lived up to the hype, and despite some criticism, he proved that spending time into an album and looking for the right connection can pay off more than anything. Quite simply, Toronto is proud and with this, he really has proved himself in a way. More than anything though, much more is expected of him @OVO Fest. Good luck Abel Tesfaye.
